Risk Pregnancy Benefit - Maximum period of entitlement

If pregnancy bed rest benefits were approved for an expectant mother for at least 30 consecutive days and the period of bed rest ended, and during the same pregnancy the expectant mother requires bed rest again, she is entitled to benefit for one or more additional period/s if she underwent at least 14 consecutive days of bed rest (in each period).

In order to receive benefit for an additional period of pregnancy bed rest, the expectant mother must submit the Medical Authorization for Pregnancy Bed Rest Benefit Form in which an obstetrician-gynecologist authorizes the additional period of pregnancy bed rest.

The last date for submitting the medical authorization form is 12 months from the start of the additional period of bed rest in that pregnancy.

You can report on the continuation or conclusion of a period of pregnancy bed rest by contacting the call center for notification of pregnancy bed rest.
