News - Carmel fire

As a result of the Carmel fire, the National Insurance Institute announces the easing of conditions, for the residents of Ussafiya, Daliat el-Carmel, Tirat HaCarmel, Beit Oren, Nir Etzion, Ein Hod, Ein Hud, Megadim, HaHotrim and Givat Wolfson – as follows:

• Recipients of income support benefits and unemployment benefits  who did not report to the Employment Service this week, between December 5th and December 10th, will be considered by the NII as if they reported, and their entitlement to benefit will not be affected by their not having reported.
• Self-employed workers – the date of payment of insurance contributions is delayed for one week, from December 15th to December 22nd.

The National Insurance Institute extends its sincere condolences to the families of those who died in the fire, wishes a full and speedy recovery to the injured, and strengthens the hands of the rescue and security forces.
