News - Announcement to families of persons killed in hostile actions, on the right to be absent from work on Memorial Day

Under an amendment to the Benefits to Victims of Hostile Actions Law, passed on February 8, 2010, family members of persons killed in hostile actions are entitled to take leave of absence from work on Memorial Day for Israel's Fallen Soldiers, and employers must pay them their wages for this day, as if they worked.
 
The following are considered family members of persons killed in hostile actions: parents, grandparents, spouse, children and siblings.
