From now on, you can download an application of the National Insurance Institute to your personal cell-phone. The application includes a range of information to help you take up your rights.
The name of the application is "habituah haleumi", and it can be downloaded to i-phones through APP-STOR, as well as to cell-phones that operate on android software through MARKET.
On this application, you can find calculators to calculate the amount of your child allowance, the age of your entitlement to an old-age pension and the amount of reserve benefit to which you are entitled. You can also find manuals with information on the conditions of entitlement to unemployment benefits, to maternity allowance and to reserve service benefits.
The application can also help you find the location of the local NII branch that you need to get to, by means of a map that will appear on the screen of your phone.
According to the Director General of the NII, Mrs. Esther Dominissini, the NII will continue to develop and upgrade its services for the benefit of the public, using the most modern technology available. The application will continue to be expanded to include additional calculators, and you will soon be able to pay insurance contributions through your cell-phone .
