| Disability benefits |

Disabled people for whom the medical committee has established a 10% temporary or permanent degree of disability are entitled to disability benefits (a degree of disability below 10% does not entitle you to a benefit). The benefits are paid as a lump sum grant or a monthly allowance.

| Lump sum disability grant | |
Disabled people for whom the medical committee established a permanent disability of 10% - 19% are entitled to a lump sum disability grant. The grant is paid after the deadline for submitting an appeal from the decision of the medical committee. If an appeal is submitted, the grant or benefit is paid after re-establishment of the degree of disability. |

| Monthly disability benefit | |
Disabled people for whom a disability of 20% or more has been established are entitled to a monthly disability benefit, from the date of the start of the disability. |

|
|
| Benefits after the death of a disabled person | |
The family members of a deceased disabled person who was entitled to benefits at the time of his death may continue to receive the benefit to which the disabled person was entitled, for 3 years after his death, provided that he did not die as a result of the hostilities-related injury and the family members are not receiving benefits under the Families of Fallen Soldiers Law. |
