The following are covered in old-age insurance:
A man:
A resident of Israel aged 18 or over. A resident of Israel who immigrated to Israel before the age of 60-62 may be covered, according to his date of birth, as specified in the following table:

Men who immigrated to Israel after the age specified in the table are not covered in old-age insurance and are not entitled to an old-age pension. Under certain circumstances, they are paid a special benefit (old age) by the Ministry of Finance.
A woman:
A resident of Israel aged 18 or over, born after January 1, 1931. A resident of Israel who immigrated to Israel before the age of 60-62 may be covered, according to her date of birth as specified in the above table.
