Income supplement to an old age pension

The National Insurance Institute provides income supplement for old-age pension recipients with low income, to ensure them the minimal subsistence income. Health insurance contributions amounting to NIS 116 (as of Jan 01, 2024) are deducted from the income supplement.

Please note that those who receive retirement pension representing a gross income not exceeding NIS 3,046 (as of Jan 01, 2024) for an individual or NIS 4,801 (as of Jan 01, 2024) for a couple, and have first been insured with retirement insurance since January 2008 - can submit a claim for income supplement together with an authorization from the retirement funds which offer them coverage or from the pension clearinghouse, concerning the date on which they joined the fund, and their claim will be processed according to the rules.
