I am happy to invite you to the internet site of the National Insurance Institute of Israel, the Institute entrusted, on behalf of the State of Israel, with the social covenant between the State and its residents. This covenant is implemented by means of a universal social security network that guarantees the obligation of the State to provide subsistence, welfare and a defense against want and hunger to all its residents.

Our social security network has developed greatly in the course of the past fifty years – covering new population groups and adding new schemes and benefits – now encompassing all residents of Israel of all ages. It is today of utmost priority in the National Insurance Institute to simplify processes and to improve our service to the public. The present site constitutes one of the main tools to achieve this aim: through the site, you can find a wealth of information on our programs, carry out payments of national and health insurance contributions, download forms, and order authorizations and publications.

Together with the staff of the National Insurance Institute at the head office and all the local branches, I shall continue efforts to improve the tools presently available to the public and to develop new ones, in order to simplify our service and make it more efficient and effective. In this context, we hope to soon put up a new personal services site through which you will be able to find information on your personal specific rights at the Institute.  

As Director General of the National Insurance Institute, the social guard of the State of Israel, I shall work together with the staff of the Institute towards fulfilling our aims while providing you high-quality, professional service, so that you may take up and maintain all your rights. It is my hope that together we shall succeed in promoting the socio-economic protection network both for the individual and for the country as a whole.
