Following the first payment, which was transferred to evacuees from the north before Passover, the National Insurance began reviewing the eligibility of apartment tenants in the north, at the Treasury's request.
On April 29, 2025, the first payment was made to evacuated apartment tenants as part of the return grants and organization grants. The payment will be deposited into the bank accounts of northern residents on Sunday, May 4, 2025.
As mentioned, the total amount of transferred grants is approximately NIS 60 million.
As a reminder, within the framework of the grants, there are special cases such as apartment tenants, for whom additional verification is required in accordance with the Ministry of Finance guidelines. These days, National Insurance employees are working around the clock to conduct the required verifications and continuously transfer payments.
Of approximately 5,800 applications for return grants, payments have been made for approximately 2,500 cases that have been reviewed.
Of approximately 5,400 applications for organizational grants, payments have been made for approximately 2,100 cases.
Checks are still ongoing, and the National Insurance estimates that the total payments to eligible individuals will be transferred within the next two weeks at the latest.
