Debt over benefits

The insured person who received a benefit to which he wasn't entitled, is obligated to return the received benefit sums.

If he is receiving a benefit - we are allowed to deduct the amounts paid to him by mistake from his benefit, as well as to initiate enforcement actions in order to collect the debt.

Important! When we take actions to collect a debt, we take into consideration the insured person's situation. Among other things, we will evaluate the health and economic situation of the debtor, and if necessary, reach to an agreement with him on a convenient payment arrangement. If the debtor's health or economic situation are extremely compromised (for example: if he has a terminal disease) - we may rule to forgo the debt in part or in full.

Debt Assessment Board

An insured person incurring a debt for receiving an allowance to which he wasn't entitled, and finds himself in a difficult health condition or economic situation - may submit a claim to the Debt Assessment Board by means of a debt assessment claim formtogether with authorizations proving his situation.

The board will rule on the claim based on documents in his absence, and decide whether to discontinue debt collection, split the debt reimbursement in installments, or deny the claim.
