Conditions of entitlement to the aid


  • The National Insurance has no obligation to receive any proposal whatsoever and the approval of researches is subject to the approval of all competent parties.
  • The National Insurance Institute shall allocate part of the research funding budget (subject to required adjustments), for research collaboration with foreign parties on subjects given high priority.
  • Approving a grant to conduct a research does not obliged the National Insurance to communicate data from its administrative files.
  • The request to the Research Fund or research funding approval, does not represent an approval in regard to the National Insurance's Committee for transmission of Information between public institutions, which operates under the Information Protection Law, or for the use of the research room of the Research and Planning Administration.
  • The agreement by competent parties of institutions/bodies working in collaboration with the researcher to perform the research, and along  which he will collect data and/or necessary authorizations, will be transferred to the Research Fund before signature of the binding grant agreement.
  • The researcher who filed a grant request may propose to conduct the research in cooperation with the researchers of the Research and Planning Administration of the National Insurance. The National Insurance is under no obligation to approve this proposal.
  • Researchers who require the collaboration of researchers from the Research and Planning Administration will be evaluated according to the work plan and order of priorities set by that Administration.
  • The National Insurance is authorized to fund simultaneously up to tow researches by researcher.
  • The grants of the Research Fund are not designed to replace government or public budgets allocated for the funding of surveys falling under the responsibility of government ministries or other public bodies.
  • Researchers conducting their research in an institution that pays their compensation are not allowed to withdraw wages or expenses cover from the research grant monies.
  • It is clarified that Research Fund grants are not given to convert the research budgets and are not intended to cover personnel costs, whose main work is to conduct the research, or other costs, related to performing the research as part of their mission within the operating body.
  • The Fund does not fund the translation of the research for purposes of its publication in scientific papers and/or the participation of the researchers in scientific conferences overseas. This those not apply to the translation of ongoing researching tools (such as questionnaires and so forth).
  • Signature of the binding agreement to provide the grant embodies the researchers consent to give availability to the National Insurance of the data basis collected for purposes of the research funded by the National Insurance.
  • Summaries and/or researches funded by the National Insurance will be published on its website.
  • The National Insurance is allowed to ask the researchers to present their research at seminars or research conferences organized by the National Insurance.
  • Students who file a scholarship application are allowed to submit in the future a research grant request on their thesis.
A grant to conduct a survey by the Central Bureau of Statistics - the official body responsible for national statistics - will cover all sorts of expenses, barring supply expenses.
