A loan for the purchase of a wheelchair carrierAn accessory or appliance installed in the vehicle, aimed at lifting a wheelchair to the vehicle’s roof or trunk. is given once every five years, should the person with limited mobility meet the conditions of entitlement. Under special conditions, the NII will consider granting a loan for the purchase of a wheelchair carrier before the five years have elapsed since the granting of the previous loan for that purpose. The loan becomes a grant after five years (unless the NII requires its repayment prior to that time).
