If a person is receiving a monthly work disability pension and his income and his spouse’s income is low, he may submit a claim for an income supplement. The claim should be submitted to the Income Support Department at the National Insurance Institute branch closest to his place of residence.
In addition to the benefits paid to him by the National Insurance Institute, a work disabled person is also entitled to vocational rehabilitation according to the conditions prescribed by law. The purpose of the vocational rehabilitation is to teach an occupation and/or to assist with integration into a job, according to individual suitability and capability.
