Entitlement to NII benefits is generally conditional on the recipient being Israeli resident.

In this era of the “global village”, it is quite common that the person entitled to a benefit works, studies or lives abroad. Therefore, if he meets all conditions of entitlement as determined by the NII, he can continue to retain his rights even when abroad.

A person employed abroad by an Israeli employer.

A person whose life is centered in Israel. Among the criteria for determining residence in this context: permanent place of residence, place at which the family is staying, place of the children's education, main place of work, place of learning.
