​Eligibility for an income support benefit is examined with respect to both spouses, and as such one must verify whether his wife is employed or has income from any source whatsoever. Assuming his wife is not employed and the pension is the couple's only livelihood, the spouses will be entitled to an income supplement of up to the benefit amount, and on condition that they both report to Employment Service in order to search for a job during the whole month.
