The National Insurance Institute announces the expansion of eligibility and improvement of the benefits and rights provided to orphans and parents of a volunteer who died as a result of providing help to another person who was in serious and immediate danger to his life.
The rights for family members of a volunteer who died as a result of providing help to another person were also expanded.
The change in the regulations expresses the respect and appreciation for the volunteer's family members.
The law will apply to deaths that occurred from January 1, 2018 onwards.
