From the beginning of the "Iron Swords" war, the National Insurance constantly receives lists of wounded (civilians) from the Ministry of Health and proactively turns to the wounded and their families for immediate psychological and economic assistance.
As of 20/10/23, the details of 2,971 civilian wounded (not in security forces) were transferred to us, among them 2,823 (95%) have been personally and directly contacted by representatives of the Hostile Actions and Rehabilitation Departments of the National Insurance.
At the same time, 715 names of fatal casualties (civilians) were transferred and a personal contact was made with 690 of the bereaved families (96.5%). 73% of them had a funeral.
Evacuees and terror victims who have not been hospitalized:
As mentioned above, the National Insurance representatives arrived at all the hotels to which the residents who were on the 'first line' of fighting were evacuated (about 20 hotels).
At the same time, advance payments are being prepared for victims of terrorism who were not hospitalized, but were evacuated to the hotels as well as the families of the abducted as early as next week.
Advance payments to the wounded:
From the beginning of the fighting, the National Insurance began transferring automatically advance payments to all the patients hospitalized, ranging from NIS 5,000 to NIS 11,000, and established a dedicated hotline for victims of this disaster that is open 7 days a week from 08:00 to 20:00 at the following number: 02-6269999.
Other social aspects:
The National Insurance continues to operate in the social aspects, both regular and those derived from the state of war, therefore:'
- Allowances have been extended automatically for all recipients of temporary disability (6 months for the severely disabled, 4 months for others).
- The reserve service benefit for all reservists will be transferred at the beginning of the month, automatically, and not at the end of the period as is the case in normal times.
- Insurance coverage is relaxed for volunteers under the National Insurance and they will receive recognition and treatment if they were injured during volunteering and suffered an impairment in their functioning (please note - you need to register with a representative organization or municipality).
- Advance payment of allowances for all citizens regarding long-term benefits.
