The National Insurance Institute publishes an agreement to the public under section 9 (a section that allows the implementation of government's decision in a shortened legislative process), according to which even residents who have been evacuated and wish to return to their homes – will be entitled to a return grant that will allow assistance for adaptation and organization needs.
The amounts per day determined by the government's decision will be identical to the amounts of the occupancy grant which are:
- NIS 200 per adult
- NIS 100 per child (under 18)
The agreement will remain in effect until the end of February, but may be extended in accordance with the assessment of the situation and government decisions.
It is expected that as early as next week the agreement will be discussed at the Labor and Welfare Committee in the Knesset.
It should be noted that at the same time, the National Insurance asked for a legislative change which would provide that the grant would not be deducted from other entitled allowances received by those eligible.
