The family members of an insured person who was employed or self-employed and died as a result of a work injury (work accident or occupational disease) may be eligible for dependents’ benefits (allowance or grant).
The family members eligible for dependents’ benefits are the widow or widower and children of the insured who meet the eligibility criteria. Under certain conditions, parents, siblings, or grandparents who were financially supported by the insured may be eligible for benefits.
