Compensation for radiation victims - Monthly pension or grant

The monthly pension is paid to persons for whom a medical disability degree of 40% or more has been determined, due to the disease.

The amount of the pension is 25% of the average wage in the economy; that is, NIS 2,155 (as of 01.01.2012) , multiplied by the medical disability percentage that was determined.

For example:

  A person for whom a medical disability degree of 100% was determined – will receive a monthly pension of NIS 2,155 (as of 01.01.2012) .
  A person for whom a medical disability degree of 70% was determined – will receive a monthly pension of NIS 1,508 (as of 01.01.2012) .
  A person for whom a medical disability degree of 40% was determined – will receive a monthly pension of NIS 862 (as of 01.01.2012) .

Grant (instead of pension)

A person for whom a medical disability degree of between 5% and 39% is determined – will receive a grant instead of pension, of an amount equivalent to 25% of the average wage in the economy multiplied by his disability percentage multiplied by 70.

For example:

  A person for whom a medical disability degree of 39% was determined – will receive a one-time grant of NIS 54,109.
  A person for whom a medical disability degree of 20% was determined – will receive a one-time grant of NIS 27,748.
  A person for whom a medical disability degree of 5% was determined – will receive a one-time grant of NIS 6,937.
