Local authorities
Long-time citizens of retirement age who receive an old age pension are entitled to a discount of up to 25% on municipal taxes (arnona) on up to 100 square meters of their apartment. If they have income, they are entitled to a discount of up to 30% according to a means test, and according to the authorizations they provide to the local authority.
Recipients of an old-age pension with an income supplement are entitled to a 100% discount on up to 100 sq. m.
The application for a discount or exemption must be submitted to the local authority. The authorizations are sent directly from the National Insurance Institute to the local authorities. There is no need to apply to the National Insurance Institute.
The Ministry of Transport
Recipients of an old-age pension are entitled to a discount on public transportation. The eligibility certificate for a discount is issued automatically once every two years. A person who does not receive the certificate or who loses his certificate should contact the NII voicemail at 03-565-7281.
The Ministry of Construction and Housing
Recipients of an old-age pension with income supplement may be entitled to assistance with their rent (public or private) or with purchasing an apartment for use as their residence from one of the public companies (Halamish, Amidar, Amgar, Prazot, Shikmona and Heled).
The applications should be submitted to the companies that won the tender: Matan Hen, Amgar and Amidar.
The Israel Broadcasting Authority
A man and woman who have reached retirement age and are receiving an old-age pension may be entitled to a 15% discount on the IBA fee. The discount is given automatically according to lists submitted by the National Insurance Institute.
The health funds
Recipients of an old-age pension who are entitled to an income supplement are entitled to a 15% discount on the purchase of medications.
Qualification: a couple who is receiving old-age pension with income supplement is entitled to a discount, provided that they have reached retirement age.
Recipients of old-age pension with income supplement and persons who, before receiving the old-age pension, regularly received a disability pension, are entitled to an exemption from medical services fees.

The Israel Electric Corporation
Recipients of an old-age pension with income supplement are entitled to a 50% discount from the IEC, up to 400 kWh, in the apartment that serves as their residence.
Bezeq
Recipients of an old-age pension with income supplement are entitled to a discount from Bezeq on the telephone line registered in their name, in the apartment that serves as their residence.
