Preparation to a medical board

Especially for you: A few things that will help you in a medical board

We are aware of the excitement and concerns that accompany a board hearing.

We are committed to conducting the board hearing from a place of sensitivity and inclusion.

  • The purpose of the board is to determine a disability percentage that reflects your medical condition and assess its impact on your ability to work and earn a living
  • You have the right to come to the medical board with a companion who will support and help you express your difficulties
  • The time of the hearign before a medical board at the National Insurance is short and limited, about 10 minutes, in order to devote sufficient time to reading the medical/therapeutic material
  • The questions asked during the board mainly concern the difficulties in your daily life and their impact on areas of life and work
  • You have the right to answer only questions that you are able to answer and of course add details that are important to you

A final valuable piece of advice:

If you have concerns that you will have difficulty expressing yourself during the board session, we recommend that you write down the things that are important to you and deliver them to the board.
