Press release: 2025 National Insurance Report – “Savings for Every Child” program

25.4 billion shekels have been deposited since the launch of the “Savings for Every Child” program in 2017. At the end of 2025, more than 3.6 million active savings plans were managed, with only 63% of parents choosing to double their monthly savings. The cumulative profit in the program reached approximately 3.85 billion shekels, and 84% of active savings are managed in provident funds.

​The National Insurance Institute’s Research and Planning Director published a new report today (Wednesday) summarizing the activity of the “Savings for Every Child” program in 2025. The report shows that since the launch of the program in January 2017 and until the end of 2025, a cumulative amount of approximately 25.4 billion shekels has been transferred to children’s savings.

Of this amount, approximately 17.7 billion shekels, which constitutes 70%, were deposited by the National Insurance Institute, and approximately 7.7 billion shekels were deposited by parents who chose to double the monthly deposit through the child allowance. The cumulative profit reported in the savings plans reached approximately 3.85 billion shekels.

In 2025 alone, approximately 3.56 billion shekels were deposited in the plans. At the end of the year, there were 3,633,573 active savings plans in Israel, alongside approximately 335 thousand plans that were inactive following withdrawals or transfers. During the year, 122,300 plans were fully redeemed and another 2,960 plans were partially redeemed, for a total amount of approximately 1.075 billion shekels.
