Reserve Service - Conditions of entitlement

Below are the conditions of entitlement for a person who served in reserve service as prescribed by law, a person who performed one-day service, a person who underwent training as prescribed by the Emergency Labor Service Law, and a working youth who participated in pre-military educational activities:

A person who served in reserve service as prescribed by law
You must submit IDF authorization of the service - Form 3010.
When you receive the IDF authorization, please check whether your personal details, the period of service and the number of days are correct and whether the authorization is properly signed.
A period of imprisonment during reserve service does not entitle you to a benefit unless a court martial or a disciplinary officer instructs otherwise.

A person who performed one-day service receives the benefit at the end of the service (and not once a quarter, as was the case up to September 30, 2003). To receive the benefit, you must provide IDF authorization - Form 3010, which you receive at the end of the service.

A person who underwent training as prescribed by the Emergency Labor Service Law
You must submit authorization of the labor service (under the Emergency Labor Service Law) from the Emergency Personnel Unit of the Ministry of Labor.

A working youth who participated in pre-military educational activities for at least two consecutive days, provided that he worked at least 30 days during the 3 months preceding the activity.
You must submit authorization from the Ministry of Defense for your participation in the activity on the form Claim for a grant for participation in pre-military education.

Policemen, warders and Knesset guards are not included in the framework of the law, and they receive payment for reserve service from the Ministry of Finance.

For your information: a benefit that is due to a worker from his employer is considered the same as salary and the employer must pay it at the time the regular salary is paid. Under the Wage Protection Law, a worker has the right to submit a complaint against an employer who delays or refuses to pay the benefit.
If the National Insurance Institute pays an employer an amount greater than the amount paid by the employer to the worker, the employer is required to pay the difference to the worker.
