I am married and have small children, and we have all been evacuated together. Why did I receive only NIS 200 per day?
Please note!
Similarly, your spouse also needs to fill out a declaration separately, and she will receive the grant to her bank account.
I was evacuated on 7.10.23 from the settlement where I live. Why can't I report an evacuation from this date on the occupancy grant declaration form?
- The grant is paid according to a government decision on the date of commencement of eligibility determined for each settlement.
- You can check the list of settlements for the evacuation date set for the settlement in which you live and report accordingly.
I had to evacuate the settlement where I lived. I am unable to fill out a declaration for occupancy grant on the website, and am notified that I am not eligible for a grant. What should I do?
After we evacuated, we moved to live with my relatives in the center of the country. We don't pay them rent. Are we eligible for an occupancy grant?
Yes, of course. Your eligibility for the grant is not contingent on proof of actual rent payment.
We live in a settlement listed on the list of eligible settlements. We have evacuated to a state-funded accommodation, and that hotel is no longer comfortable for us. If we move to an apartment at our own expense – will we be eligible for a grant?
Yes, of course.
The grant will be paid to you based on the days you stayed in a place not funded by the state.
To that end, you'll need to fill out an occupancy grant statement on the website, detailing the days when you found a place to stay that wasn't funded by the state.

Please note!
We intend to stay where we have evacuated for at least the next two months. Can I get the full grant in advance?
The grant cannot be received in advance.
The grant is paid for the days you actually stayed at a place of accommodation outside your home. Also, it is not possible to receive the grant for future periods.

I have older children who live with me. Am I eligible to receive a grant for them too?

If this is a person with special needs who receives a disability pension and is unable to handle his affairs – the grant will be paid to the person who receives the pension on his behalf.
Why haven't I received the occupancy grant yet?
There can be a few reasons why:
We live in a settlement on the northern border. My wife and children were evacuated to a hotel in Tiberias (state-funded) and I stayed home to guard it. Are we eligible for an occupancy grant?
You are not eligible for a grant.
My wife and I are 70-year-old pensioners. We have completed a declaration form for an occupancy grant, and have not been asked about a bank account. To which account will we receive the grant?

Who receives an occupancy grant for an orphan who lost both parents?
Please note - the grant declaration form for the children can be filled out by the person who receives the child allowance for them.
Do I need to fill out a declaration for children under the age of 18 who have been evacuated, or is the grant automatically paid to them?
- If a parent has been evacuated with a child – it is enough for the parent who receives the child allowance to fill out a declaration and in his declaration to report that he has been evacuated with children.
- If the parent did not evacuate – the person who receives child allowance for the child should fill out a declaration on the website for them.
Will the occupancy grant be affected by my income support benefit?
No. The occupancy grant will not be taken into account for the income support benefit and will also not affect other allowances you receive from the National Insurance.

The grant will not affect the assistance you receive from the Ministry of Housing or other benefits to which you are entitled.
I receive an old-age pension/long-term care/general disability/work disability – will the grant affect my allowance?
- Your grant won't affect your allowance.
- You can receive the grant together with any other allowance from the National Insurance.
What documents do I need to show in order to receive the grant?

- The grant for children (including foster children) is paid to the bank account used for the payment of child allowance for them.
- The grant declaration form for children can be filled out by the receipient of child allowance.

Eligibility for occupancy grant is subject to a non state-funded place of accommodation.

- You have to update your bank account details using this link.

You have to open a bank account under your name and fill out the declaration form for the occupancy grant.
When will a declaration form be available for the next time?
At the beginning of each month, it will be possible to make a declaration for the previous month.
For instance: at the beginning of February, the option to make a declaration for January will be available, and so in March a declaration will be available for the month of February, and so on.
I filled out a declaration form. When will I receive the grant?
The grant will be paid into your bank account within a few days since the declaration have been filled out.
I am leaving the country. Will I be eligible for a grant abroad?
Yes. You can evacuate abroad and be eligible for an occupancy grant.
I am returning to my village. Will I receive a return grant?
You will be entitled to a grant if you meet the conditions of entitlement.
