"National Justice": A combined enforcement operation by the J&S District Police and the National Insurance Institute revealed systematic fraud against the state. This morning, at the end of the investigation, 211 residents were denied eligibility, and tens of millions of shekels will be saved for the state Treasury
In a large-scale enforcement operation, led by the Israel Police's J&S District and in cooperation with the National Insurance Institute - Investigations Division and the Population and Immigration Authority, steps were taken to deny entitlements to residents who, according to suspicion, made false representations regarding their place of residence, in order to fraudulently obtain benefits and social rights such as: health services, pensions, etc.
The enforcement operation "National Justice" was led by the J&S District Commander, Superintendent Moshe Pinchi, and in accordance with the policy of the Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir and the Police Commissioner, Lt. Gen. Danny Levy.
The activity that took place this morning is the product of a covert and prolonged investigation, in the framework of which evidence was collected indicating a systematic pattern of action of concealing the place of residence and the place of center of life, in order to be considered residents of Israel and receive the rights of Israeli residents, while taking advantage of public service mechanisms and receiving public funds illegally.
As part of the operation, this morning, 211 residents were denied their eligibility, some of whom are also involved in criminal offenses. An administrative proceeding has been opened against the suspects and the possibility of bringing them to justice for fraudulent benefits under aggravated circumstances is being considered.
According to estimates, the enforcement activity is expected to result in savings of tens of millions of shekels for the state Treasury, through the cessation of unlawful payments, the return of funds and the prevention of future fraud.

Public funds are intended only for those who are entitled to them by law, and not for those who choose to defraud the state authorities and illegally derive personal profit. The close cooperation between all enforcement bodies allows us to expose complex fraud phenomena, protect public funds, strengthen public trust in state institutions and bring to justice anyone who harms its resources. The J&S District will continue to act with determination, with zero tolerance and with all the tools at its disposal, to strengthen governance, enforce the law and maintain the sovereignty of the state. "
The National Insurance Institute emphasizes that eligibility for benefits and social rights is determined in accordance with the provisions of the law and the test of residency - and for residents of Israel only. In any case where it turns out that false declarations were submitted or misleading information was provided for the purpose of receiving benefits, the necessary steps will be taken, including denial of eligibility, return of funds and further proceedings in accordance with the law.
The J&S District Police, together with all enforcement authorities, will continue to act with zero tolerance against attempts to defraud and harm public funds, will work to bring to justice those involved and will continue to strengthen social and national justice.
