Special grant for seniors aged 67+

Salaried employees aged 67+ who were laid off or placed on unpaid leave for 12 days between 13.6.25 and 24.6.25 following the fighting of the "Rising Lion" military operation - may be eligible for a special grant.​

Who is eligible for the grant?

You will be eligible for the grant if you meet all of the following conditions:

1. You are a resident of Israel aged 67+.
2. You worked as an employee for at least 3 consecutive months (March, April and May), before you were placed on unpaid leave or laid off.
3. You were laid off or placed on unpaid leave from 13.06.25 to 24.06.25, and were unemployed for 12 days.

Eligibility period

The grant is paid for the period from 13.06.25 to 24.06.25 only.

Submitting a grant claim

You can submit a claim for the special grant in one of the following ways:

• Submit it online.
• Download a grant claim form, send the form via the document delivery service on the website
  (Select the Benefits service, Subject "Senior Citizen", category "Form", document type "Special Grant for the 67+ - Rising Lion")
• The grant claim must be submitted within 12 months since the date of entry into force of the law.
  

Amount of the grant

The grant will be: 75% of your average salary from work in 3 of the last 6 months preceding the cessation of work - according to the highest salary, but without exceeding NIS 134 per day.

Important to know!

• If you receive a "unemployment replacement" grant by law, you are not entitled to a 67+ special grant, as this constitutes a double benefit.
• A self-employed and salaried individual will receive a grant only if he has no income from his activity as a self-employed.
  
  - Self-employed and salaried individual - (whose file as a self-employed person is open) - A claim must be submitted by hand  + a declaration of income as a self-employed person during the war period from an accountant or representative.
• Self-employed person according to the ordinance on insured person classification - A claim must be submitted by hand  + a declaration of income as a self-employed person during the war period  + a declaration of income according to an insured person classification order during the war period, from an accountant or representative.
