Increase in the disabled child allowance

1. The amount of the disabled child's allowance has increased retroactively since January 2021, as shown in the table below.

The allowance payment for the retroactive period will be automatically transferred to your bank account as follows:

• Repayments for the months of January through June 2021 were paid to you in grants in March 2021 and June 2021.
• On 28.11.21, you will receive a one-time repayment in completion of the allowance for the months of July through November 2021 (including a supplement for a person on respirator).
• On 23.12.21, you will receive a repayment in completion of the allowance for the month of December 2021.

2.  In January 2022, there will be an additional increase to the allowance.

Important information! 

From January 2022, a new eligibility level at a rate of 235% rate will be introduced - for children who are dependent on the assistance of others and who score at least 13 points on the dependency test or who receive an allowance for heavy medical care. Amount of the allowance at the 235% level - NIS 8,313 .

Allowance supplement for a child on respirator at 100% and 188% eligibility level

A child on respirator will receive a supplement to the allowance retroactively since January 2021.

The supplement payment for the retroactive period will be automatically transferred to your bank account as follows:

• Repayments for the months of January through June 2021 were paid to you in grants in March 2021 and June 2021.
• On 28.11.21, you will receive a one-time repayment in completion of the supplement for the months of July through November 2021.
• On 23.12.21, you will receive a repayment in completion of the supplement for the month of December 2021.
• From January 2022, you will receive the new supplement amount (as shown in the last column of the table).
