The National Insurance will not carry out any foreclosure and will cancel fines and interests for the self-employed located in combat zones


Due to the "Iron Swords" war, foreclosure actions will be suspended for those who have not paid their insurance contributions during this period

The Insurance and Collection Administration of the National Insurance has issued a notice to all agencies and employers.

It should be noted that national insurance contributions are paid monthly (some of which are transferred to health insurance contributions) and this collection is used for the circular repayment of 4 million in benefit payments offered by National Insurance to all residents of Israel each month.

In addition, an extension will be granted to submit appeals and documents regarding deduction audits, until further notice, according to the assessments of the security situation.

Payment of advances of insurance contributions for self-employed and non-working individuals, whose payment deadline falls on 15/10 (the payment covers the months of July-August-September), if due to the security situation these advances not paid in time - their fines and interest will be completely cancelled and their next payment deadline postponed to about two weeks after the end of the security situation, in accordance with the decisions taken under the security situation. The request for cancellation of fines and interest may be submitted through our website, call center or branches throughout the country.

  • Employers who located within 40 kilometers of Gaza and unable to pay insurance contributions for the month of September 2023 on time because of the fighting, will have the fines and interest completely cancelled on the arrears of payment for that month, and the payment will be postponed to about two weeks after the end of the emergency situation, in accordance with the aforementioned decisions taken according to the security situation.

Yoav Ben Zur, Minister of Labor: "Assistance to businesses is needed at the moment and the National Insurance is monitoring the situation based on security developments. As the minister in charge of the organization, if changes and flexibility in payments are needed as a result of the war, the issue will be looked at with particular care. It should be remembered that each payment to the National Insurance is a circular payment allowing the payment of allowances to Israeli citizens, and despite everything, the National Insurance will act with the utmost sensitivity towards companies in the present situation."
