Today, an agreement will be published for public comments between the National Insurance and the State Treasury allowing for the payment of wage replacement to hostages retroactively from 7/10 onwards.
This payment is intended to assist, instead of the regular salary that hostages would receive from their workplace, in paying the ongoing expenses they had to cover before the disaster, such as rent, mortgage, loans, and so on.
As stated, later to day the agreement will be published for public comments and after that it will be submitted to rapid consultation in the Knesset, at the Labor and Welfare Committee.
