The National Insurance will transfer study grants to more than 278,000 children for a total of about NIS 328 million


The National Insurance Institute completed this morning, 11.08.2025, the transfer of study grants to eligible families, with the aim of assisting parents in purchasing equipment, clothing and textbooks for their children in preparation of the new school year.

The grant is given:

  • To families with 4 or more children who receive one of the following benefits: alimony, income support, survivors, disability and old age.
  • As well as to single parents: separated, widowed, divorced or single.

2024

Last year, the National Insurance transferred study grants to 114,880 single-parent families and 19,800 families with 4 or more children who also receive one of the following benefits: alimony, income support, survivors, disability or old age pensions.

In total, 263,700 children received the grant last year for a total amount of approximately NIS 300 million.

2025

Grants were paid to 117,782 single-parent families (2,909 single-parent families more than last year), and to 22,474 families with 4 or more children who also receive one of the following benefits: alimony, income support, survivors, disability or old-age pensions (2,674 families more than last year).

In total, about 278,500 children received a grant, with a total payment of about NIS 328 million. About NIS 28 million more than last year.
