Unemployment benefits are deposited automatically on the bank account of eligible people on the 12th of each month

With the adoption of the legislation on unpaid leave reliefs the National Insurance wishes to underline and precise:

  • The payment of unemployment benefits is deposited automatically on the bank account of eligible people on the 12th of each month.
  • In 4 days (on 22.11.23) a deposit will be made and based on the law that has yet been enacted at the Knesset (it is expected to be addressed tonight in plenum session).

Proactive contact with repeat unemployed people

However, those whose unemployment benefit claim was denied or those who were granted eligibility but at a lower amount, because they are repeat unemployed, will proactively be contacted by the National Insurance and will receive payment of the benefit retroactively or differentials according to the new legislation.

As said - the National Insurance will act proactively ad there is no need to submit a new claim.
