When you reach agreement with the representative, he/she is forbidden to ask to receive the fee in a single payment, or state that as a condition. You have the right to pay the fee in installments, as follows:
- One payment of up to 60% of the retroactive benefit.
- The remainder in monthly payments, each up to 25% of the monthly benefit.
For example, if the representative's fee is NIS 5,000 and you are entitled to a benefit of NIS 2,000 per month, without a retroactive benefit, the representative can charge you up to NIS 500 each month (25% of NIS 2,000) for 10 months (NIS 500 x 10 = NIS 5,000).
