Evening of Songs in their Memory
The event will take place on Memorial Day's eve at the Knesset, on Sunday 12.5..2024, Iyar 4 - 5784.
The event is organized in cooperation with the National Insurance, the Ministry of Defense and the Knesset of Israel. One may register up to 8.5.2024, or until exhaustion of available places.
Confirmation of participation is subject to the number of available places.
A personal notification will be sent to those whose participation has been approved.
State Memorial Day Ceremony for the Victims of Hostile Actions
The ceremony will take place on the hostile actions casualties monument site in Mount Herzl, where the names of hostile actions casualties from terrorist events are engraved over the years until the "Iron Swords" war.
The ceremony will be held on Tuesday 13.4.2024, Iyar 5 - 5784 at 13:00, and will be broadcasted live on television and on the social media of the National Insurance.
Please note, admission to the ceremony will only be possible to those who have a prior registration (registration deadline until 7.5.2024 at 12:00).
Important information!
Entrance to the ceremony will be allowed from the main civil gate to Mount Herzl (close to the Herzl Museum, and not through the military cemetery).
Considering the expected traffic jams around Mount Herzl, and due to security check, it is advised to arrive to the Mount by 11:00. Gates will open for public admission between 11:15 and 12:30.
Please avoid coming with a baggage.
- Access to Mount Herzl will be denied to private cars. It is advised to register to the buses organised by the National Insurance across the country, or to use the tramway. Parking shuttles to the ceremony (back anb forth) will depart from selected parkings (see below the explanation on parking arrangements).
Access will be denied to those holding a weapon and deposit will not be available.
Buses to the ceremony
The National Insurance arranges transportation to the ceremony across the country for those registered.
People interested to use a shuttle can indicate the appropriate pick up location on the online registration form to the state ceremony.

For your information,
- One must arrive to the pick-up point 15 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time. Buses will depart on time.
- All buses will make a stop at the Neve Ilan hotel to respectfully stand up during the siren. Afterwards, buses will drive out to Mount Herzl accompanied by the police.
Parking arrangements for those traveling with a private car:
Please avoid coming with a private car to the Mount Herzl area.
It is advised to reach the ceremony using the tramway or, to park in the "Park and drive" parking lots from which shuttles wil go, back and forth, to the ceremony.
Shuttles to the ceremony will depart at 12:15 from the following parking lots :
- Binyane Hauma (close to the Binyane Haoma parking on the main street).
- Parking Haleum (at the Nassi Hashishi entrance).
- Parking Tedy (East side).
- Parking Nahal Tsofim in Giv'a Tsarfatit - shuttles will not depart from this parking lot. One must ride the tramway (please note: it is a rather long ride of 40 minutes).
One must step out the shuttles at the second stop facing the civil gate (and not in front of the military cemetery).
Shuttles driving back to parking lots after the ceremony will depoart at 14:45 from the following pick-up points:
- To parking Tedy : East side of Herzl boulevard, close to Shaarei Tsedek hospital.
- To parkings Haleum et Binyane Houma : from Ish Shalom street, between "Yad Sarah" building and Mount Herzl.
