Benefits for a disabled mother unable to care for her newborn

Pursuant to an amendment to the law, in force since July 7, 2014, a disabled mother for whom has been determined a 100% degree of earning incapacity and who is unable to care for her child, may be eligible for a NII benefit.

  • Disabled mother with a spouse: a special benefit is paid to the spouse if he fulfills the eligibility conditions detailed below.
  • Disabled mother as single-parent: receives a special allowance at a rate determined by law.
