Postponing the date of a Medical Board

If you cannot attend a Medical Board on the date set for you, you may submit a request for postponement up to 7 days before the board date.

How do you submit the request?

The request must be submitted on the Personal Service website/Medical Boards/Request for Postponement of Board Date.

Important information!

  • A scheduled board date can be postponed up to two times via the website.
A third request will be forwarded for review by the handling employee at your branch.
  • A request received close to the board date (less than 7 days) will be forwarded for review by the handling employee at your branch. The answer will appear on the Personal Service website.
  • In certain cases, with the approval of a National Insurance medical doctor, a board can be held by videoconference or without the insured presence based on medical documents. A request to hold such a board hearing must be submitted online on the Personal Service website.
