'Queue exemption' card for seniors aged 80+


For your convenience, citizens aged 80+ can now receive public services without waiting in line.

To be granted this exemption easily, a 'queue exemption' card has been issued for you.

The card is automatically sent to those eligible. Anyone who has not received the card is asked to contact us by phone at the National Support and Information Center for Senior Citizens and Their Family Members at *9696, via the website or at the branch nearest to their place of residence.

Please note, you can also receive a queue exemption by presenting an ID card.

A public service is a frontal service (not by telephone) provided to the public by public authorities or in public places.

Public authorities:

  • Government office and its related units.
  • Municipality, a local council, a regional council.
  • The Bar Association, the National Insurance Institute, the Israel Electric Corporation Ltd., Israel Railways Ltd., the Jewish Agency for the Land of Israel.
  • David Ben-Gurion House, Yad Vashem, Yad Yitzhak Ben-Zvi, the Center for the Commemoration of Yitzhak Rabin, the Center for the Commemoration of Menachem Begin and the Study of the Zionist Struggle for Israel's Independence, the Nature and National Parks Preservation Authority, the Western Wall Heritage Foundation, Beit Hatfutsot Ltd., the Israel Museum.
  • Municipal Government Housing Rehabilitation and Development Company Ltd., the Company for the Rehabilitation and Development of the Jewish Quarter in the Old City of Jerusalem Ltd., Halamish Municipal Government Housing Company for the Rehabilitation and Renewal of Neighborhoods in Tel Aviv-Yafo Ltd., Amidar National Housing Company in Israel Ltd., which is a municipal government housing rehabilitation company in Haifa Ltd., the Old Acre Development Company Ltd., East Jerusalem Development Ltd.
  • Medical secretarial services in health maintenance organizations.

Public places:

  • Post office
  • Bank branch
  • Cinema, theater, concert hall, stadium
  • Gallery, museum, library
  • Central station or public transportation terminal
  • Commemorative site, national site, antiquities site, national park and nature reserve
  • Large store (at least 250 square meters)

Services and situations for which there is no exemption 
to wait in line

  • Medical treatments
  • Lines where p eople wait inside vehicles
  • Lines for prior appointments

Please note that even when there is a queuing exemption, priority will be given to a person with a disability (according to the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998).
