How to submit the claim


The claim should be submitted on the Claim form for a Survivors’ Pension. The form contains a list of the documents that must be attached to the form. The form may be submitted also by fax or in the service box of your local NII branch.

In order to receive the survivors' pension retroactively from the date of the insured's death, the pension claim should be submitted to the NII no later than 12 months after the date of death. If the claim is submitted after 12 months have elapsed since the date of death, those entitled to the pension will receive it for a retroactive period that does not exceed 12 months.
