Registration at the National Insurance Institute as a soldier in the standing army is automatic, via information received from the IDF.
If you were charged with insurance contributions as a non-worker for the period during which you were in the standing army, you must present your local NII branch with an authorization from the IDF or from the Ministry of Defense indicating your status as a soldier in the standing army and the duration of this service (starting and finishing dates), or wage slips, or an 106 form for the period of your service. Your debt will consequently be annulled.
