Daily return grant


​The daily return grant will be paid to those who returned to their homes in the period between 1.1.24 and 29.2.24.

Who is entitled to a grant?

You will be entitled to a grant if you meet all the following conditions:

  1. You are an Israeli resident.
  2. Your home address in the records of the Population and Absorption Authority is located in one of the settlements qualifying for a grant.
    You can check whether your settlement qualifies for a grant on this calculator (in Hebrew).
  3. You have received an occupancy grant or have stayed in a state-financed accommodation place before 1.1.24.
  4. You have not stayed in a state-financed accommodation place in the period between 1.1.24 and 29.2.24.
  5. You have declared your return to your place of residence in a settlement qualifying to a return grant.

Period of entitlement

  • Eligibility for the grant is on a daily basis, for each day in which you are meeting the conditions of entitlement.
  • Maximum eligibility is granted for the period from 1.1.24 to 29.2.24.
  • Important information! You cannot receive an occupancy grant and a return grant for the same day.

Grant amount

The grant will be paid based on the number of days in which you have stayed in your place of residence during the qualifying period.

  • For an adult (including a child over 18 years old) - NIS 200 per day.
  • For a child (up to 18 years old) - NIS 100 per day.

Method of payment

  • For those receiving a child allowance - the grant will be paid into the bank account on which the child allowance is transferred.
  • If you are not receiving child allowance - you can update your bank account details to receive the grant on this link. If failing to update bank account details - the grant will be paid to the bank account in the records of the National Insurance.
  • For foster child - the grant will be paid to the foster parent who is himself entitled to a grant.
  • There is no entitlement to receive a return grant for a foreign nursing caregiver, even if an occupancy grant has been paid on his behalf.
