Implementation of the High Court decision - Payment of insurance contributions to Yeshiva students

​In accordance with the instruction given in the context of petitions submitted to the Supreme Court, and a ruling given on the subject of the discount on national insurance contributions given to Yeshiva students and Avrechim who are subject to conscription - the National Insurance Institute is obligated to implement the following decision:

• A Yeshiva student or Avrech who has individually regulated his status with the military authorities - will continue to be given the discount for insurance contributions for 2026 and beyond.
• A Yeshiva student or Avrech who has not yet regulated his status with the military authorities will be charged for the period from 1.1.26 and beyond - with the insurance contribution differentials accordingly, so that he will be charged with national insurance contributions in full (without discount).
• A notice regarding a debt in insurance contributions will be sent by the National Insurance Institute individually in the coming quarter. This is an additional NIS 95 each month for a Yeshiva student or Avrech who is not working. (For those who work - the calculation of insurance contributions will be based on wage level)
