A situation assessment was recently conducted by the National Insurance Administration and branch heads across the country.
Following the emergency order issued by Minister of Labor, Yoav Ben-Tzur, and given the National Insurance's status as an essential agency, the organization's operational continuity will be ensured, including:
- Medical Boards will be held via Chat if necessary, and messages and updates will be regularly posted on the National Insurance website and social media.
- A situation assessment was conducted with long-term care providers regarding the care of elderly people requiring nursing care in general, and those in isolation in particular.
It was agreed to monitor and identify their medical and social needs during the state of emergency and address them accordingly. - Resilience centers and hotlines will be strengthened. Anyone concerned about the security situation is encouraged to contact the *3362 hotline directly.
- Numerous inquiries have been received from victims of hostile actions and bereaved families, for whom the security situation is a source of anxiety.
Therefore, the National Insurance recommends that anyone in need contact their personal therapist or the emergency lines for psychological assistance.
- The National Insurance will continue to issue benefits and payments as usual.
- On Saturday evening, a new assessment of the situation will be conducted to determine whether public reception and boards will proceed normally. However, in the event of a risk to the safety of residents, boards will, as mentioned above, be conducted via Chat, wherever possible, and appointments will be switched to telephone appointments. A National Insurance employee will contact residents directly.
- The National Insurance's IT system is prepared to deal with scenarios specific to the security situation. Regular updates will be published by the National Insurance spokesperson and information system on the various information channels.
