The grant for post-tragedy recovery is a lump sum paid automatically together with the third monthly compensation paid to eligible persons.

How is the grant calculated?
The grant is paid based on the value of a convalescence day, according to established administrative rates for public service.
One convalescence days is worth NIS 449.
- For the victim's spouse (widow, widower or common-law partner) a grant amounting to 10 convalescence days will be paid.
- For each orphan, a grant of 30% grant for widow/widower will be paid.
- For a bereaved parents couple, a grant amounting to 15 days of convalescence will be paid.
- To a single parent, a grant amounting to 10 days of convalescence will be paid.
