Receiving the long-term care benefit in cash for a person who employs a full-time caregiver

Those entitled to a long-term care benefit who employ a full-time caregiver may ­­– under certain circumstances – choose to receive their benefit as a cash deposit.

A person who employs a full-time caregiver may combine a long-term care benefit in cash with other long-term care services included in the basket of services: distress call transmitter, absorbent products, visits to daycare center, and laundry services.
