We are glad to announce that the National Insurance Institute will pay a one-time grant for year 2021 to beneficiaries of an attendance allowance.Important information!
- Those receiving more than one allowance - will receive multiple grants, depending on the number of allowances they receive.
For instance: those who receive a general disability pension and an attendance allowance or those receiving an old-age pension with disability increment and an attendance allowance - will receive two grants, one for each allowance. - A disabled individual who is institutionalized, for whom the institution receives a benefit - will not receive a grant for the months spent in the institution.
When will the grant be paid?
The grant will be paid automatically in two times: First time on March 11, 2021, and the second time in June 2021.
Grant amount
The grant is calculated according to the number of disability pensions you were paid for the months of January to June 2021, and the degree of disability established for you. In other words, each month you received a disability pension entitles you to a grant for that month, depending on the allowance you were paid.
The amount of the grant to recipients of attendance allowance by percentage of the allowance:
50% | NIS 100 | NIS 300 | NIS 300 |

188% | NIS 300 | NIS 900 | NIS 900 |
Patients on respirator who receives an increment to attendance allowance - will receive an additional grant of NIS 5,341 for each month in which they received an allowance increment.
For instance: those who are paid an increment to patient on respirator since January 2021, will receive in March an additional grant amounting to NIS 16,023, and in June a grant of NIS 16,023.
