If you are a discharged soldier or have ended a 24-month national-civil service, please note that as a result of a modification of the law and due to the corona crisis, the conditions of entitlement for a preferred job grant were modified.
Those discharged from regular military service during the period from 1.1.19 to 31.12.20 – will be able to accrue the 6 months of preferred work performed within 3 years from the date of discharged, instead of 2 years as prescribed until now.
Before the amendment of the law, a discharged soldier who began a preferred work for the first time within the first year of discharge was not required to be eligible for unemployment benefits.Now, as a result of the Corona crisis, anyone who was discharged from regular military service during the period from 1.1.20 to 31.12.20 – is not required to be entitled to unemployment benefits, even if he or she began essential work for the first time in the second year after discharge.If you start an essential work for the first time in the third year, you must be entitled to unemployment benefits from the starting day of work.
