Accident Injuries

The National Insurance Institute pays accident injury benefits to a person who is injured in an accident occurring at home, on vacation and leisure time, and who, due to the accident, has lost the ability to function, in accordance with established conditions of entitlement. The benefit is paid for a maximum of 90 days since the loss of functioning capacity, and with respect to the injured's state of functioning.

Please note, those injured in a traffic accident or a work accident are not entitled to accident injury benefits.
