Registration as a student at the National Insurance Institute is automatic, after transfer of information from the academic institutes to the National Insurance Institute. Unless information is automatically received by the NII, you mist send to the Insurance and Collection Division an certificate of studies mentioning the student's information and the period of studies.
The certificate can be sent by means of the internet site or submitted at your local NII branch.
