A foreign worker, who is not an Israeli resident, is not insured under not insured under the State Health Insurance Law, of 5754 - 1994 (thereafter - Health Insurance Law).
However, under Foreign Workers Law (prohibition of illegal employment anb guarantee of adequate conditions) of 5751 - 1991, there is an ordinance establishing a detailed arrangement regarding the foreign worker's insurance in Israel, in a private medical insurance framework.
Morevoer, the foreign worker enjoys from rights granted to him under the Sick's Rights Law of 5756 - 1996, which are not depending on residency (by nature, these are very limited rights and regarding medical situations calling for urgent intervention).
