Income Support

Returning residents are in the care of the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption after they return to Israel, and may be eligible for support from the Ministry during the first year after their return in Israel.

In certain cases, returning residents can receive an income support benefit from the National Insurance Institute as a supplement to the support provided by the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption.
In parallel you may check your eligibility for an income support benefit from the National Insurance.

Eligibility for an income support benefit from the National Insurance

You may be eligible for a benefit providing you have been recognized as an Israeli resident and has lived in Israel as a resident for at least 24 consecutive months (taking into account the period you lived in Israel as a resident before leaving the country). Moreover, you must also to meet the other conditions of eligibility for an income support benefit.

To receive the benefit, you must fill out an income support claim form, and submit it to the local NII branch nearest to his/her place of residence.
You must also attach a confirmation from the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption regarding the period during which the Ministry gave you support.
